France - Haute Corse
La Haute-Corse s'étend sur la partie Nord-Est de l'île de Corse. Cette région est appelée Cismonte. L'arête montagneuse centrale (orientée NO-SE), dite i Monti, la sépare du département de la Corse-du-Sud (dit Pumonti). La Haute-Corse est baignée à l'est par la mer Tyrrhénienne et à l'ouest par la mer Méditerranée. Le climat d'une grande partie de la Haute-Corse est de type méditerranéen : chaud et sec en été, doux et pluvieux en hiver. Cependant, l’île connaît aussi des nuances du climat alpin, en particulier en hiver. Il n'est pas rare de voir les sommets des montagnes enneigés jusqu'à mai-juin (comme on peut le voir sur certaines de ces photos prises en mai 2021).

Haute-Corse is bathed to the east by the Tyrrhenian Sea and to the west by the Mediterranean Sea. The climate of a large part of Haute-Corse is Mediterranean: hot and dry in summer, mild and rainy in winter. However, the island also experiences nuances of the alpine climate, especially in winter. It is not uncommon to see snow capped mountain peaks until May-June (as can be seen in some of these photos taken in May 2021).
